Does Acupuncture Help Prevent Hair Loss?

Leading up to treating hair loss, a person firstly need to determine what kind of hair loss they’re experiencing and what is the cause behind it? An important distinction to make is whether the issue is at the root or on the strands, because sometimes the concern isn’t with hair growth but with length retention. In case of rampant hair loss, main objective is to moisturize and give strength to the strands so as to stop hair breakage. However, hair fall may also be to a variety of other reasons, including vitamin or nutrient deficiency, genetics, etc.

As previously mentioned, acupuncture has been used for several concerns, and sometimes it’s even used to address medical conditions like asthma, chronic joint pain, PMS, hypertension, hair loss.
Acupuncture is of immensely useful in cases where poor blood flow or localized hyper immune responses are the main cause for hair loss. In such a case, the needles stimulate hair follicles, thus reducing the hair loss.
